She is a prolific songwriter and a passionate singer with prominent country roots whose musical styling incorporates a subtle amalgamation of country, rock, blues and folk influences. In 2009, Gaylynn received recognition for her songwriting and vocals with her newest release, Love & Heartache (Rufus Records 2008); a 10 song tour de force heralding rave reviews worldwide and meriting nominations for Female Vocalist of The Year from the Texas Music Awards and also for Western Swing Song of the Year from the Academy of Western Artists for her song “Call Back My Heart Texas Moon”.
Gaylynn’s previous release, Songs By A West Texas Songstress (Rufus Records 2006), presented a calling card to a worldwide audience, earning her a loyal follow ing. In 2007, two singles from the album hit #3 and #22 on the European country music charts and remained on the charts for over 20 weeks. This album also resulted in her receiving two nominations in 2007 from the Academy of Western Artists for "Pure Country Female Vocalist" and "Pure Country Song".
